Here’s what I love about these rankings: I’m the only one that gets a say.

Once again this year, there’s only 1 rule - teams are ranked based on who I think is the best.  That means records aren’t the #1 criteria.  I watch the teams and use my own judgment polls be damned.

Without further ado, your TJR Top 5:

USC - Still the best team in the country despite the loss to Oregon State.  If you don’t agree, you’re wrong.

Oklahoma - I’d be surprised if they lost before the Big 12 title game.

Alabama - I’m a believer.  Auburn and LSU pose stiff challenges, but I don’t think either team has the offense that Alabama does.

Mizzou - Think I shafted them last week.  They’ve been held under 50 points once this season.  50!

Penn State - They won’t be favored against Ohio State, but it should be a great battle.  The whiteout in Happy Valley is one of the coolest things in college football.

On the cusp (in no particular order): Ohio State, Florida, LSU, Texas, Georgia
